Calvary Apostolic Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at CAC.

Calvary’s Connect Ministries exist with one thought in mind: We need each other. We were not created to live life alone, but we were created to share our lives with one another. Here at CAC, we believe that life is best lived in community. That’s why you’ll find several opportunities, ministries, and venues to develop meaningful, healthy relationships with other committed believers.

Calvary Apostolic is a place where you can connect…connect to God through worship, connect to others in meaningful relationship, and connect to the world around you by sharing the love of Jesus Christ. We believe that, with God’s help, we can form lifelong friendships that will affect not only our lives but the lives of those around us.

Areas To Volunteer In

Mission & Outreach

Calvary Apostolic is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with our money and with our prayers. CAC presently has a couple out of our own church that are actively involved with missions in Haiti. The Roemer’s live in Les Cayes, Haiti while providing help with health issues, education for children, support for orphans, setting up water purification systems, but most of all ministering to the souls of Haiti. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means on foreign soil or living and ministering in our own community.

Music & Drama

God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church members get involved in our music and drama ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the Choir or Praise Team. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Calvary Apostolic Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.

The usher team at Calvary Apostolic Church fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, unlocking doors, locking doors, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Media & Technology

Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of CAC. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. These volunteers assist in conveying the message through words and illustrations that enhance the understanding of the music and sermons. We also maintain an active Facebook feed for additional church communication.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Calvary Apostolic Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Prior to every service our church body gathers together for thirty minutes of prayer. Throughout the week, volunteers of our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionaries’ prayer needs.

Children’s Church

In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, CAC holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service on Wednesday nights. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s church volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.

Camp Counselors

Each summer, Calvary Apostolic Church children, youth, and families can participate in KY District camps. The week-long events involves games, a lot of preaching, great food, good worship, and the intentional influence of camp counselors. The camp counselors are selected, and screened for this important camp ministry. They find that their ministry is personally rewarding, and both campers and counselors grow in the process.
