Leadership Team

Our leadership team recognizes the authority of God, and realizes that we are shepherds who serve under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. We desire to devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the Word. Our passion and goal is to assist and equip the believers for the work of the ministry.



Russell Revels, Assistant to the Pastor, Executive Pastor

Russell's main objective is to assist Pastor Griffis through outreach, teaching, and helping attend to the needs of the body. As Executive Pastor, Russell helps to keep all ministries flowing seamlessly. Russell is a talented graphics design artist, web, and promotional material designer. As the lead graphics designer he creates all art work and promotional materials for CAC. Russell and his wife Barbie have been long time members of CAC and have been active in many areas of ministry. They have taught Sunday school, served on the Youth team and filled the position of Youth Pastor. 
Barbie serves as CAC's nursery and earlier child care director. Holding her BA in Science and a Masters in Literacy, Barbie has over 10 years of teaching and child care service as a school teacher for JCPS.


Brandon Cowden, Worship & Music Pastor

Brandon Cowden serves as the Worship Pastor for Calvary Apostolic Church. Brandon studied Jazz music theory at Butler University. He was also a worship ministry student at Indiana Bible College. Brandon has been a part of many musical groups including IBC Praise (2008-2010). His role as Worship Pastor gives him the opportunity to create an atmosphere of anointed praise and worship that is relevant to any generation. He cultivates a spirit of excellence through his leadership and determination. As director of “Resound” (CAC Praise Team), “Relentless” Praise Band, and CAC Adult Mass Choir, he has the opportunity to develop skilled singers, musicians, and worship leaders to use their talents and abilities to glorify God.
Amanda Wisehart, Executive Administrator

Amanda is currently serving as our Office Administrator. Amanda has over 10 years of Administrative experience. She worked as an Executive Administrative Coordinator to several of Humana’s Vice Presidents. During her time at Humana, she also worked as the Supervisor to a staff of Administrative Assistants and as an Office Support Clerk. Amanda assisted in the facilitation and execution of administrative responsibilities including, but not limited to; calendar maintenance, travel arrangements, coordinating and facilitating meetings, conferences and conference calls, new hire training, preparing expense reports, supply inventory, maintaining contact lists, organizational charts and other confidential information for the department. She received her CEAP Certification from Office Dynamics during her tenure at Humana. Amanda's attention to detail and organizational skills keeps our office operating efficiently.

Amanda and her family have been long time members of Calvary Apostolic. She and her husband Reid have two beautiful children. They have been involved in various areas at CAC including; Sunday School Teachers, Youth Team and anywhere they could be of help.



Lavon & Sarah Hodges, Children's Ministry Director
Sarah Hodges has a bachelors and masters in early childhood education also her EdS (Educational specialist) degree in Educational Leadership with principal certification.  Lavon along with his wife Sarah have served as Youth Workers as well as Student Pastor. They have transitioned to directors of our children's ministry seamlessly.
Lavon serves on the Kentucky District Youth Committee as the Section U Youth Director. Lavon and Sarah's work with children doesn't stop at CAC. Their passion overflows into their careers with Jefferson County Public Schools. Lavon works as the Behavior Coach and Sarah is a 4th grade teacher at Cane Run Elementary School.
Our children’s ministries are rooted in the concept that learning to follow Jesus must engage the imagination and hearts of children. Calvary offers children creative environments, age appropriate teaching methods and place a
priority on family discipleship.
Reid Wisehart, Audio Production Ministry


Reid Wisehart has been a lifelong member of Calvary Apostolic Church. He married his high school sweetheart, Amanda Wisehart and they have two beautiful children, who are his heartbeat. Reid serves as the Sound Engineer for Calvary Apostolic Church and seeks to educate himself and his team further in sound engineering. The Sound Engineering Ministry provides superior quality audio services that include production, recording and technical support for CAC. Praise and Worship sets the atmosphere for the service and Reid strives and teaches his team to strive for excellence in all they do.

Rhonda Preston, Multimedia Production Ministry Director
Rhonda and her Team work to compliment, and enhance anything requiring A/V (audio/visual) support. Multimedia production ministry is essential in producing services that enhance the message of God without distracting those in the audience. Our multimedia team is made up of energetic, talented people who love to be behind-the-scenes serving God.
Rhonda has had the opportunity to serve in many areas of the church. She has been singing since the age of 9 in children’s church and many dramas. She taught Sunday school for over 15yrs. She has served as choir director, worship leader, and has had the opportunity to sing at many conferences and weddings. She has also served as special events entertainment director. Rhonda is currently an Executive Administrative Coordinator to the Enterprise VP of Digital Center of Excellence at Humana Inc.
